The company's unique investment strategy differentiates itself from other 'traditional' absolute return funds by incorporating the sophisticated use of equity derivatives into a core long/short portfolio. The strategy maintains a 'long volatility' skew and combines a multi-strategy approach to assist in the funding of the derivative overlay. The Management of Fortitude Capital have a combined market experience of over 40 years, managing proprietary equity trading books for institutional investment banks and equity portfolios for family offices. They have an in-depth knowledge of the Australian equity and derivatives market as both advisers to institutions, as market makers in derivatives products and as principal traders for investment banks.

Fortitude Capital is currently managing $A80m in institutional investment mandates for international and domestic institutions, with management investing alongside investors via the Fortitude Capital Absolute Return Fund. The company has a Caymans based fund currently open to international investors.

Fortitude Capital holds an Australian Financial Services License with the Australian Securities and Investment Commission.
